Encouraging Spouses: The Best Help For Attaining Success In Your MLM

The other day I was working on writing some content for one of our websites and came across a guy who was on a forum complaining about how his wife thought he was just messing around on the internet and was never going to see anything from all of his effort. After talking to the guy for a couple of minutes, I began thinking how difficult trying to attain MLM success would be if you didn’t have support from the people that mean the most to you. At the end of the day, most people’s “WHY” has something to do with their families.

As if it isn’t already hard enough to deal with the complications of generating and maintaining an online presence, you have to deal with the people that are a big part of your reason for putting in the long days telling you how what your working so hard on will never work. The following are the 3 biggest reasons I feel that people have trouble with support on the home front and can hinder them from ever achieving MLM success.

First, a lot of people don’t involve their significant others in the home business process from start to finish. The storyline goes like this: person gets excited and joins an MLM, they are told that a web presence is the best way to grow the business, they go to work spending additional hours building their business and spending less time with the family, money doesn’t come in immediately, spouse feels neglected. I might have missed a few steps, but you get the idea. Building a successful business takes commitment from the person involved and an understanding spouse, especially if they won’t be participating.

Next, a lot of people face an uphill battle starting off in the business because of some stigmas with the industry as a whole. Their spouses might go to work and have a coworker whose brother had a bad experience in MLM just put down the industry and that can leave a bad taste in the spouses mouth. Friends and families can also be a source of negativity if they or someone they know has had a bad experience in the industry.

Lastly, if money doesn’t come rolling in the first 30 days, some spouses seem to think the system and model don’t work. All they see is the time and money that is being invested to run the business and aren’t experiencing any results.

What are the reasons that you think people don’t get support. I have no idea how hard this business would be without the full support of my spouse, but can assure you that getting to the level of MLM success I want to achieve would be 10 times more difficult.
